Gas Support Strut replacement with "Reduced price because of paint chips on the strut barrel from shipping".  These are for the sub compact tractors using the Curtis cab with glass sliding windows in the  doors.  These will fit many other cabs which use struts with center to center hole extended length of 13.0" and compressed length of 8.1" This listing is for one replacement Gas support strut for the sub compact tractors using the Curtis cab with glass sliding windows in the doors.  I own a  2016 Massey gc1705 sub compact tractor with a Curtis cab. My cab has glass sliding windows and a removable rear glass.  I love the opening top on their cab which allows air to flow and is much cooler too ride in then my previous cab, however I was not happy with the door struts.   I did a lot of research and testing to find a strut which would work better on my Curtis cab. This is a heavy duty strut which I feel works better than the original and is a lot less money.  This strut has automatic extension speed from any door position and will actually hold the doors from opening to fast which is not the case for the originals on my cab. They actually flew open and that bothered me.  You can replace one of the door struts but after you see them hold the door from opening to fast, you may want to replace them on both doors.  When you purchase two the combined shipping is very reasonable.  The original door and top struts are the same so after you replace the door struts you will have two spare struts for the opening top.  One of my top struts already went bad so this really worked well for me. Make sure you have the glass sliding windows and a rear removable window because the struts may not work on the doors with plastic door windows.
